Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted during 2017-18 and 2018-19 at the instructional farm of Agronomy Department, College of Agriculture, Dapoli, Dist. Ratnagiri (M.S.), and India; to study the, “evaluation of effect of organic packages and bio-products on the growth parameters, yield parameters and yield of groundnut (
Arachis hypogea L) The experiment results revealed that the mean plant height (25.48 cm), number of functional leaves hill
-1 (66.85), dry matter production hill
-1 (25.97 g), mean plant spread (23.91 cm), number of branches hill
-1 (11.70),
number of pods hill
-1 (30.92), weight of mature pods hill
-1 (39.53 g), 100 kernel weight (54.17 g), shelling percentage (72.96 %), dry pod yield (39.99 q ha
-1), kernel yield (29.22 q ha
-1) and haulm yield (48.70 q ha
-1) of the groundnut were significantly enhanced due to 50 kg N through vermicompost + 50 kg P
2O
5 through rock phosphate + phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) (T
8) as compared to the other treatments in the pooled data of the two years. Among the different bio-products, the application of cow urine (10%) (P
2) recorded significantly higher mean plant height (24.42 cm), number of functional leaves hill
-1 (63.47), dry matter production hill
-1 (23.88 g), mean plant spread (22.77 cm), number of branches hill
-1 (10.78),
number of pods hill
-1 (28.25), weight of mature pods hill
-1 (36.33 g), 100 kernel weight (53.34 g), shelling percentage (72.26 %), dry pod yield (35.69 q ha
-1), kernel yield (25.93 q ha
-1) and haulm yield (43.25 q ha
-1) of groundnut crop followed by vermi-wash (3%) (P
3) and control (P
1) in the descending order of significance in the pooled data of two years experimentation.
