Abstract:
A pot experiment with medium black calcareous soil was conducted to assess the interactive effects of boron (B) and molybdenum (Mo) fertilizers on the growth and yield of groundnut. The experiment comprising of five levels of boron viz., 0, 2, 4, 8 and 10 kg B ha-1 and three levels of molybdenum viz., 0, 1, 2 kg Mo ha-1. Experiment was laid out in Factorial Completely Randomization Design and replicated thrice. The results of the experiment revealed that the application of 8 kg B ha-1 along with 1 kg Mo ha-1 significantly increased the value of number of nodules per plant, nodules dry weight per plant, number of mature pods per plant, pod yield. In case haulm yield significantly higher value was recorded with application 10 kg B ha-1 and 1 kg Mo ha-1.
