Abstract: The experiment was conducted during late kharif 2015 for screening of 6 varieties and 5 hybrids of brinjal against L .orbonalis in terms of fruit damage. Relatively high percentage of fruit damage was recorded in CVK variety, Ranjitha hybrid, Arka Kusumakar variety. The damage in the above lines ranges from 65 percent to 57 percent. The lowest fruit damage was recorded in Shymala hybrid and Arka Neelakanth variety, in these two lines on number and weight basis similar results were obtained (22 to 26%). The maximum percentage of fruit damage was recorded during 70 -100 DAT.
