Abstract:
This field study was conducted during Rabi season 2009-10 and 2010-11 to study the effect of different levels of phosphorus, sulphur, irrigation and intercropping on yield and quality of mustard and chickpea at agronomic research farm of Amar Singh (P.G.) College, Lakhaoti, Bulandshahr (U.P.). On the basis of results of the experiment it may be concluded that the 60 kg P2O5 ha-1 and 40 kg S ha-1 with two time irrigation, one each at pre-flowering and grain filling stages of mustard in mustard and chickpea intercropping system could be necessary for obtained higher yield, oil content in mustard, protein content in chickpea and maximum benefit: cost ratio.
